North Shore Homeschool Group (Illinois)
is a secular social community of fellow homeschoolers. Families in the group have found a sense of belonging and shared experiences, forming lasting friendships while navigating the homeschooling journey together. The community values diversity and encourages a collaborative approach to education, wherein parents and children can learn from one another.

Tweens & Teens
Kids aged 0–10 are always ready to learn. We enjoy hands-on classes, park days, and more. We see curious minds reaching for new ideas, textures, and questions. Simple experiments and guided play help them build confidence and focus. In our sessions, stories become adventures, and every activity ties back to real-world skills. Sharing, problem-solving, and patience—through steady, playful practice. We aim to keep the pace gentle but engaging, offering choices for every child’s interests.

Activities for the older kids include park days, field trips, lectures, hands-on trade classes, fitness classes, and more. They get to socialize and have fun while learning. They explore new hobbies and pick up practical skills that will help them later in life, from teamwork to problem-solving.

As parents, we need community too. Finding like‑minded homeschoolers can be comforting in understanding your journey. We host parent chats with open discussions about curriculum, our kids, and any upcoming event planning.
